Team Selection Process

     Varsity and JV teams will be selected by Coach Jones.  Team selection will follow team selection guidelines generated by the Pickens County School District.

1. Individuals will be chosen for the team that will benefit the Daniel High School volleyball program.
    

2. 11th and 12th graders will not be chosen for the JV squad. 
    

3. All tryout participants must attend tryouts beginning on July 30th, 2004 at 8:30 AM.
    

4. All tryout participants must have a valid physical, parent's permission form, paid insurance, and meet all requirements for participation set forth by the S.C. High School League and Daniel High School.
    

5. Individuals will be evaluated in the following areas:
   a) passing, digging, serve receive passing
   b) serving, hitting, blocking, setting
   c) floor agility, conditioning, hustle
   d) acceptance of coaching philosophy
   e) willingness to accept role on team
    

6. Players will be expected to attend all practices and matches unless excused by Coach Jones.  Activities not related to Daniel High School will not be acceptable conditions for absence.
